With just one week to go until we move in, crews are working seven days a week to meet our deadline. At the rate things are going, it looks like we are going to make it! My sister and brother-in-law dropped in to check out the progress as the roofers were finishing up for the day.
Rough carpenters began installing the cedar boards on the back deck.
Inside, the farmhouse looks a little fancier with new tile, fresh paint and sanded and finished floors.
One room – the new living room in the ell – was finished in time to receive an early delivery on Friday. We picked out the rug and new furniture months ago with the assistance of a talented designer at Ethan Allen and were delighted to see how the palette of blues and greys make the greenery outside the window pop!
In the original farmhouse, we are incorporating elements of the old house that we like, and are recovering two of the eight wingback chairs we are choosing to save.

Glad we made the blog! Great pic of those crazy roofers balancing on top.
